I don't think we can deduce much from those multimeter readings.

To ensure compatibility with the crossover you should consider buying the 6 ohm Heco HG 20 GE tweeters to which I linked.

I suggest you buy more than one pair to allow for possible future failures! 😉

The Monacor DT-100 tweeters may be too much of a financial risk, as their compatability with the crossover is unknown.

This picture is when i measured the one tweeter that works.
This measure doesn't make much sense. You have either a tweeter way off, or a multimeter way off.
A 8 Ohm nominal tweeter has a voice coil resistance (Re) of about 6 Ohm, while a 4 Ohm nominal one has a Re of about 3 Ohm.
The correct procedure for measuring small resistances, is to first measure the resistance of the tips, and then subtract this value for any subsequent measure. To measure the resistance of the tips simply connect the two tips together. On my multimeter this value is 0.6 Ohm.

Good call, puppet, we can't actually see what the meter is connected to.

Metrios, make sure the tweeter is disconnected from the crossover when you measure it.

Whatever, the replacement Heco tweeters to which are linked are rated at 6 ohm nominal.

Thank you all for the help. So, to close the thread, what do you suggest between Monacor and Aiyima?
Aiyima is 20 watt max or rms? because monacor is 25 and 30 watt RMS (the 2 models)

Aiyima, Monacor dt-75 or Monacor dt-100?
If you don't overload your amplifier a tweeter can have a lot, when you play very hard your amp starts clipping and has a lot of high frequency output. Tweeters have thin wires and heat up easy but a lot depends on the crossover frequency.. so 20 watt is a lot for a tweeter and it normally does not get so much because most energy is in the bass and mid band. Tweeters in general die from abuse and clipping! You need to look for the tweeter sensitivity (like 90 dB) and if it is 4 or 8 ohms.

hey guys...sorry for late reply. I found a new pair of b&w dm 302, now i have 4 of these and i made a home theater 5.1 with dm 302 front/rear and cc3 center. I put a pair of pioneer tweeters on heco victa 500 and the sound is good, surely not like before. But now i use the new system and not Heco Victa.

Thats why i couldnt reply..i traveled other cities to buy subwoofer, center speaker etc. Lot of work lately but new home theater is ready to shine. AV is Denon avr s660h. Happy for everything. Thanks Galu and the other members of forum for your time, help and your patience.
