The meaning of sanctions is to build up pressure on all citizens thus creating unrest in the population. This is simply not true. Buying tubes made in Russia from a US owned firm is hardly buying tubes from Putin. Neither is buying old tubes from a Russian man who's opposed to the war.
Giving money to anyone in this population means that the pressure is reduced. In addition
sending real dollars into russia means that the state eventually will have more dollars available.
I guess it depends if you are paying in roubles or dollars. The guy at the other end gets roubles, but in between some very useful foreign exchange goes into some other organisation's pockets, and no doubt a nice bit of profit on the deal too. This is simply not true. Buying tubes made in Russia from a US owned firm is hardly buying tubes from Putin. Neither is buying old tubes from a Russian man who's opposed to the war.
And maybe the guy on the other end is not so opposed to the idea of a war either?
It is just to create a unified front during these times where there are limited means to make a stand.
Are you serious? Do you really suppose EL34's, 5881's, 6L6GC's etc being used in Russian missiles? No, no no. The more tubes we buy the less they have for their missiles.

Anyway, in these days we really need to be extremely careful and pay attention on those form where we buy tubes etc.
Best regards!
I knew I should have put a smiley at the end of theat message or enclosed it in [sarcasm][/sarcasm]. Some [people just don't recognise a joke when they see one.Are you serious? Do you really suppose EL34's, 5881's, 6L6GC's etc being used in Russian missiles?

You're right. Just due to your question about paralleling two EZ81's a few weeks ago, I shouldn't have taken you too seriously.
Best regards!

Who really “owns” it is a matter of debate. Having a controlling interest (even 100%) is not really the same as “ownership”, which really does not exist anywhere. Try not paying taxes on your home or business and you’ll see who really “owns” it when the eviction notice goes up.Last I heard, the 'guy who owns EHX' is Mike Matthews, whose companies also brought out the Big Muff Pi fuzzbox, the Electric Mistress flanger (guitar effect) and the Mike Matthews Freedom Amp. He's quite American.
That aside, it’s a sticky situation because just about any company can be directed to shift production to what is required in time of war. I really doubt Mike wants to be caught in the middle of all this.
how else are they supposed to improve the clarity, remove the veil and fine tune the PRaT in their missiles? Are you serious? Do you really suppose EL34's, 5881's, 6L6GC's etc being used in Russian missiles?
What "economic pressures"? The tariffs haven't started and the ruble is in the toilet. If anything, their costs should be down. To me, this looks like price gouging.
On the upside, it might motivate someone else to open a new plant, or help an existing vendor to expand.

Considering various economic pressures, we must raise our wholesale prices. This price increase, to be announced separately, will apply to all back- and new orders.
Can I just say if you have placed an order from a UK company and have paid for the goods this forms a 'contract'. This means they cannot pass on price increases to yourself nor can they offer a refund as an alternative because of the price increase.
Just the opposite. EHX's Mike Matthews spent considerable time in the early 00s keeping his factory OUT of government-mob hands. This is from 2006: https://www.nytimes.com/2006/05/16/business/worldbusiness/16cheat.html

In Russia, 'ownership' is at the whim of the state; you can bet Putin and his goons take a cut somewhere. He's the richest man on the planet for a reason.Buying tubes made in Russia from a US owned firm is hardly buying tubes from Putin.
