SB measure at 1V which often gives slightly more impressive numbers than a small signal test.
e.g. look at zaph's 3 way using SB 12" woofers. Mild qts discrepancy between his Qts and the manufacturer's Qts. I bought a quad of the same woofers and measured a bigger discrepancy.
Probably not a huge difference in outcome, but may make a difference when shopping. If you directly compare the SB specs to those of manufacturers who use small signal tests, the cheaper SB drivers will oftrn appear to have motors as strong as a more expensive competitor's driver.
Yes I think too the numbers are a bit sweet for SB Acoustics, have been looking at more of their drivers.
I think it's also possible they're measuring some of their T/S parameters right after a hard burn in with the drivers hot. That'll give favourable numbers too.
Can hardly blame them though, seems like most manufacturers are doing it, many worse. Perhaps Seas the least on average.
On a side note, it seems like audioexcite.com is trying in honest to get good T/S measurements, I've seen comparison measurements there between added mass and known volume methods, horizontal and vertical position and before and after warmup etc. And no incentive to sweeten the results.

Could someone please help me with the schematics for
the SBA 941 crossover? I tried with active XO but something isn't quite right. On Jentzen they only sell with other things that i don't need as i had already made the cabinets. Thanks in anticipation

Troels has stopped publishing the xo schematics some time ago.
You can read his reasons here:
Closed-schematics
Nevertheless recently he has published some open designs based on SB drivers (SBA-761 comes to my mind).

Will you advise to purchase and build this SBA-941 design?
It seems that some experts here, blame on "The dip around 1.5 kHz"
Thanks in advance.
