Ok, well basically it has come time to replace my pair of Avalanche 18s with sometihng smaller -ie a pair of Atlas 12s. I'm not worried about output at all...been playing a single 12 in a crappy sealed box and it sounds great. I really need to step down from the rediculous bass for the time being since a family actually moved in next door instead of more college kids.
Anyways, I have a Behringer feedback destroyer and EP2500 amp I'm going to be powering them with - I know its more power than they're rated at (600 watts into 4 ohms) but they've never warmed up even after playing for a time, plus I'm careful. I want to build a single box with both subs in it, but I want it small. I'm thinking having them on each side with its own small sealed enclosure, but I'm not orried about designing that part. What my question is - is it okay to build the amp and feedback destroyer into the box as well? I'd like to have slots above the woofers that they could slide into on the front. Heat shouldn't be an issue since I'll keep the back of that section open, allowing the fan to circulate air through the amp. I'm just curious if having it at close proximity could cause issues or not...
Anyways, thanks for the help, and if you've got any other ideas I'm still open to them. Oh and if you're in Iowa and want some huge 18s...lemme know.🙂

If the Behringer feedback destroyer and EP2500 amp are well shielded, there's no problems with that. I don't know if they are shielded enough.

Hmm...maybe I'll throw them on top of the 18s and se if there's any noticeable effects.
