new sub/amp and noise problems?

I did some searching and didn't see anything, not sure what to search for as well...

I just installed an infinity perfect 10.1d and a Rockford 351M (This was a refurb unit from High Desert Audio off of ebay.) I have a Pioneer DEH-460MP head unit that my local CarToys shop installed a few weeks ago.

And now to my problem. When I turn on my system the sub starts pushing in and pulling out in a steady pattern about 1 to 2 times a second. The cone is moving at a pretty large excursion when doing this. This is a constant problem, it does not go away. Also the gain on my amp is very touchy. When it is all the way down I have very little output from the sub and the push/pull problem isn't there. I turn the gain, and its still quiet until I hit a certain point, then the sub suddenly gives decent output, but the push/pull problem suddenly starts as well. This occurs both with my truck running and just with the key in the on position. Also when the amp is wired up I get a pop in my full range speakers connected to my head unit when I change stations on the radio, or switch between cd and tuner. The pop goes away when I disconnect power from my amp.

Is it possible that I have a ground, or ground loop issue? This install is in an extended cab S10 and I ran the ground to a bolt for the rear jump seat that goes into the body of the truck. I scraped all of the paint off of the mount before I put the ground wire on.

Has anybody had a similiar problem. Is it a noise interference issue or is it possible that my amp is hosed?

Thanks

Well I`ve never heard of this until now.And now I`m have the same problem.
The only thing that we have the same is the headunit.I`ve swaped amp`s 3 times, rewired 2,new rca`s 2.
But after seeing that we have the same deck then my next is to swap it with my test deck and see if it helps.
Anybody else got anything??????
It is strange my sub`s just boom boom without any deck volume on.Wide open,it just make since. It`s got to be getting a signal from somewhere. It`s just a pluse BOOM BOOM.
