Split Fresnel in dusty environment?

Hi guys,
thanks for all the information and inspiration for constructing these things in India. I'm now going to start my own project.

Given the dusty nature of most Indian cities - the inside of my computer looks like dust heaven, most ventilation openings get clogged with dust pretty quickly - is it a good idea to go for fused (OHP) fresnels and unsplit optics, rather than split?

I am aware of the advantages of split Fresnels, but the prospect of regularly cleaning the delicate Fresnels leaves me unenthused. We are going to force air through the place for cooling, and one look at my computer PSU is enough to tell me what's going to happen. It's easier to clean flat, non-grooved surfaces.

Apart from this, I'm going to source my lenses from Lensel, since I live near Pune. I heard some comments about the quality of their Fresnels not being great, so there's another motivation to not put one between the LCD and the triplet.

So far, I'm planning:
15" LCD sourced from secondhand Samsung or Sony monitor.
Dual fresnel (216/343) 310 mm x 310 mm
74mm dia, 315 mm FL triplet, both from Lensel

Anyone used this combo with success?
An alternative for the LCD would be the Intex 14" WXGA, depending on what cost I get it at.

Would appreciate any suggestions or comments. Thanks!
