Hello all

I am a new member here!
Micke is my name, 35 years old and has always loved DIY 🙂
Live in Sweden with my wife and our son.

This is my thoughts about a new project I am about to build;

material 16 mm rod glued birch.

Tang Band W4-655E (Two in each box)
Tang Band 28-847SE
Rounded baffle, finish unclear
Stand mounters D'Appolito
Braced
Gateway to the reflex port will be in aluminum or brass

Terminals are manufactured, inspiration is taken from the AAD 2001
An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

Obviously, they are not exactly the same but the inspiration is drawn from them🙂

There might be even a few of these;

Thoughts, ideas? 🙂

Working it backwards might help to understand.

What frequencies are being notched by the filter?
What driver is covering those frequencies?

That's the driver it goes on.

Don't put much emphasis on bi-wiring. It's more fun for the operator than of value to the system. I have tried it a number of times and there's been no audible difference so I simply don't bother. Bi-amping on the other hand...

Well, cause of the small size (D'appolito with 2 pcs of 4") maybe single would fit better. The terminals will look so cool !
And of course the ventport 🙂

Tell me, the material of the terminals. How good does alu or brass leads the "sound"??

+1 Cal's giving you great advice. I tend to work the other way around I go for what sounds best and then looks.

My point while it may look cool if it doesn't sound good I don't think it will be in your sound system for long.😉

Best of Luck with your project :cheers:
Thanks for your advice 🙂
Looks to me is as important as sound.
Soon I will show picture of the port
