6AS7 is to big, and have bad liniarity on low bias, so you can use them for ac coupling to mosfets as srpp.
I stick with 6n6p tubes, she can do the job with 4 paralelled mosfets, and I go to circlotron, there in common source output capacitance is less a concern.
on ebay the re a lot of this 6as7 tubes for cheap.

THE TUBE ON HAND IS 6GH8A...WILL IT WORK?
