Has anyone had experience with the new PICkit4? Just released 2 months ago. The PICkit3 was said to have been terrible.

I have had a Chinese PICKIT3 and it wasn't very good. It would keep crashing and resetting with USB disconnected PC sounds.
After it eventually packed up I bought a PICKIT3 from the UK and that was much better.
I haven't had any problems with it.
It seems to be a bit of a lottery with them depending where they come from.

The going rate on ebay is about £80 for the pickit4 and £12 for pickit3.
Or £40 at Digikey.
I will be sticking with pickit3 until prices get better.
I also know it works with the old MPLAB.
I prefer MPLAB to MPLAB x.
