is this true that Papa bringed "pimped up" amps in 2010 CES(fro their new speakers) ,which is double chassis monoblocks each drawing over 40Amps(!) per channel
and that internal hotel room instaliation electricity was not able to handle such consumption 🙂 thats what I call high end

That's a nice rumor, but it does not correspond to the
actual case.
They do not draw 40 amps per channel.

They look pretty meaty nonetheless 😀 Looks like a dual chassis something like the Krell KAS, but no doubt a shed load less complicated & easier to fix 😉
Nice looking amps, i can't find any info on them.. Google simply reveals this thread & nothing else.

39,7A ? 🙂 Our papa is always conservative in ratings ( like "inocent" 35wats xa30.5)
OK more seriuosly- I have never saw any medium powered comercial SE SS amp which goes more than 15A per channel continuos current . i understand that if we need more current push-pull (xa.5) is more economy, but if money ,heat, electricity is not a problem I belive there are some potential for single ended class a transitor amps owner who have lets say 2-3ohm speaker with 95-987db/2.83v/m sensitivity. I may found PP class A bas more impressive at first glance but still i prefer my old trusty SE DIY xa (24 fet/channel, 14-15A/channel, rail 20-22V) being more "calm" and less controll in lows but more lifelike. it my have been just placebo , but i notice it at all 3-4ohm nominal impedance speakers i have. bass is more lifelike on all kick drums, and acoustical lows ( push pull may sound more better with home moovies or modern electronic music)
such combination(highly biased low wattage SE) with JM LAB Maestro utopia(1.8ohm at 110hz and quite big phase angle more like 1,3 ohm load but most sensitive version of all utopias including grande EM and Stella EM ) is spectacular.
BTW how new pass speakers was accepted by public? I wish very best in this area.

Aaaaahhhh, i understand. So we don't actually know the "real" model number 😀sorry for confusion , xa.8 E is my givven name to theese beasts 😀 . patent pending 😎
They still look good for at least a few hundred watts class A (per channel) with all that heatsink area 😉
