New Output Stage?

It's a good OPS, used by Michael Bittner in his amp some years ago here in fact.
I think Ostripper has done something with it too.
While the low impedance and constant 'on' drivers is a great advantage, a simple double EF II (popularised by Self) keeps the drivers on at all times and is simpler and lower count. But it's surely good design.

Of course we can use Baxandall super pair in VAS like Ostripper design, but I want to explore the "new" output stage like this.

Some designs have a problem with the Baxandall , it lack of Ccb presents
issues with some OPS's and some IPS's 😀 .
PS - the Baxandall based kypton c CFA was the the most "drop dead" perfect IPS thimios ever posted.
The (sansui) V version is not so .... drop the Baxandall - it goes sub PPM ! ???

Thank you, Hugh for your comment.

I think this OPS has low crossover area, only 2x VBE like CFP. But I found optimal bias like EF2 which is around 26mV at RE.

Not many useful benefits, difficult to achieve high slew rate, and the possibility of strange overload/clipping behavior IIRC. Maybe it's okay as an adaptation of the EF3 for fast, weak predrivers. But you will probably not do better than the EF3 unless you use current sources, so then you've added many more components to something that still may not be as good as a simple 3EF.

Of course, none of this proves whether it will sound better or worse.
