I'd guess those are Hawthorne Silver Iris and Auggie drivers (or some such), in which case the main driver is coaxial horn tweeter (mouth is hidden behind the dust cap that is more acoustically transparent than the photo might suggest)

I use the 15" Silver Iris and Augees I have 2 300watt sub plates for bass so plenty of bass
Wood is 40mm mdf and have a sleeve insert to add as extra isolation
