Check if the panel really can show 24-bit color. Many 15" panels can only show 262K colors (18-bit) and show the in-between colors using dithering (flickering adjacent colors to create the effect of another color). That flickering is really annoying and doesn't help reducing the ghosting and afterglow. There is nothing wrong with the 18-bit color itself, but the problem is that you cannot disable the dithering..

I have found a distriditor in NZ that sells this specific panel.I dont really want to get the Monitor now as I already have one that I am taking apart. That is only if it works well.I have an Acer AL511 15" that I am working on now.Its specs are 40ms response time,350contrast ratio.Ill go and look at it some time this week and if it performs well then I may be persuaded to purchase it.That is only if it works well.

Wes Marquenie,

You said your Dell monitor is easy to take apart? But are there any cards in the way of the dispaly? I have ran into this problem with a Samsung Syncmaster AND a NEC 1555v. I do not soder well. I need a monitor display that does not need it. I appreciate your time.
