New inverter for Moniter

I have a kogi L4AX 14.1" monitor that has a broken inverter. Since I haven't been able to find any inverters for this monitor for sale, I was wondering if it would be possible to buy an inverter from a different monitor to use. If so, how would I know which ones would be compatible or not. So basically, as far as I can tell right now, I take my LCD panel, plug a new inverter in through the FFC, and it works. Please correct if I'm wrong, I'm very new to this. Thanks.

wrenchone: well, all I really know for sure is that the backlight still works. When I turn the monitor on, nothing is on the screen but the backlight turns on. I read somewhere else that if you turn it on and you just have a white/grey screen it's your backlight inverter. Like I said, I'm new to this so I could be wrong.

ukagr: where would I find which controllers/backlight inverters from other monitors are compatible with mine for a replacement?
Thanks
