Hello All - Very happy to have found this forum - LOTS of great stuff eh! I'm an old retired Navy guy. Used to really be into sound when I was in my youth, so that means that now that I'm having my mid-life crisis (really? naw, just sailor scuttlebutt) I'm getting back into it. Have a Pioneeer SX-950 Receiver, Pioneer CT-F9191 Cassette Deck, Pioneer PL-41 TT, and... wait for it... Klipsch KG-4 speakers. OK, enough talk, time to listen. "Tommy" is on hold... Aloha!

Alrighty, another Bubblehead!

Dude, I did some time on Thomas Edison (SSBN-610 Gold); my only boomer; also served on Parche (SSN 683), Haddock (SSN 621). and Dallas (SSN 700). Breathed amine for 23 years. BTW - I was an MM nuke 😎 Thanks for the welcome!

Tin Cans Rock (and roll) for real!

My Dad was a tin can sailor - Radioman in WW2 on USS Porter. I did some minor time on DLG-32 - William H. Standley, but never took her to sea. I can relate though. We lost our stern plane hydraulics one time and did 11 days on the surface on a sub - 33 degree rolls all day lone - now that was a barfer and a puker!
