Gerald Shirley published the "Corona Wind Loudspeaker" back in the late 50's, fyi. It is in the JAES Vol I Anthology.
I met him.
Not enough output. It worked. I built a small (very) version to test and it sounded very very good. If you listened in a very quiet room late at night very close to the device - it was only about 10 corona "points".
Wonder if anyone actually made one that makes real sound or not.

The Corona does so (now "Lansche"). But they don't sell the Tweeter. You can only buy their complete speakers. If you like them - it is on you 🙂
The main problem is ozon. This problem is solved in the actual Corona version. Like other problems in the earlier Corona-Version of Otto Braun...
Lansche cross their plasma tweeter at 2.5 kHz, impressive compared to other plasma tweeters, but still far from fullrange. This year I´ll have the chance to hear them at the Highend in Munich. Really looking forward...
Nooo this was exactly what I've been looking for to build my system! Anyone else make them or are DIYable material?

Allways good - looking forward to Munich - but the Highend...??? 🙂
