I have the following Class D amp boards :-
2 x TPA3116
Tripath 2024
2 x IRS2092
2 X STA 508
I fancy trying a new flavour but there are many new boards and the chip numbers mean nothing to me. Which of those listed below would anyone reccomend?
TDA 7492 7498 8954
PAM 8403 8406 8610
TPA 3110 3118 3255
TSA 8498

This version of the PAM8406 works extremely well off a 5v phone charger or battery bank to make a decent BT speaker when paired with a suitable 5v BT module:

Module Bluetooth 4.2 carte decodeur MP3, bricolage, haut parleur Audio, carte d'amplification de puissance Audio sans fil modifiee pour voiture | AliExpress
Don't overlook the TPA322* and TPA324* series.

The chip number means everything as you can look up when they were introduced and you can read datasheets, white papers etc. and read and find out all ins and outs yourself. The classic "invest some time and gain knowledge" doctrine. The new flavors you mention are often just as old or even older than the ones you currently possess except for TPA3116 which is relatively recent.
New flavor that certainly is quite OK is the Merus MA12070. The Sabaj A20a amplifier seems to have the chip and reviews seem to confirm it is a capable device.
