Is it available as the board only with no enclosure and attenuator?
When and where can I place my order?

How would you describe the difference in how this amp sounds compared to the previous Volt+ model?... or compared to other low cost amps you are familiar with?
Also, what does the gain switch do to the sound? This is for what, better mating depending on speakers and/or use of a pre-amp?
Sounds great..gain is to chose from a DAC line out (2.1 Vrms) and line out of your mobile phone (1Vrms)

We never planned on selling it like this, but I guess its possible. Contact allo CS and we will try to accommodate you .
I think that for DIYers, a board only option would be a good idea.
most of us end up mounting the board in bespoke enclosures that fit our need, and paying for the attenuator and case just to end up throwing it would deter a lot from buying this amp.
What about the test results?

Selling the board and parts separately and/or as a complete kit versus a completely built unit also helps people in a country like Brazil with onerous import taxes on finished electronics. We never planned on selling it like this, but I guess its possible. I'd be happy to buy a complete kit.

I was hoping for more details than "sounds great". Can you describe how it sounds different from the previous Volt+ model? How does it sound compared to a TPA3255EVM or any other chip amp you have listened to? What speakers/components did you use to listen test it? Thanks!
Hello gnat ,
sorry but I try not to describe too much how I hear the sound. Its a known fact that film on the audio path helps with the sound quality . Volt+ D only uses film caps (audio path)

Looks impressive. The controller-power board is on top so psu connects to the usb-c socket to power 3 boards independently from the Pi ? How is this going to work in the context of an enclosure/case ?
Split the stack?
Thanks for the pic.
Will it be possible to split the stack into two halfs, both halfs connected by a cable?
Something like this:
[RPi + lowest board] <--Cable--> [mid board + top board]
I'm interested to integrate Katana into my stereo, but space is limited.
thanks
Stephan

Pic of the stack . Please note that connector we chose for our boards are less than RPI standard connectors (height)
Patiently waiting...
It will be sold directly through the Allo website I guess.
Any expectation you can give in terms of availability for sale?
Thanks

We are in the middle of sourcing 1000 different components. I don't have a date yet.
