New enclosure for 18LW2400, vented or horn

I own currently two 18 sound 18LW2400 drivers both in separate 120L sealed enclosures. Actually I am pretty satisfied with these but I would like to try someting totally different. I have played a little with hornresp but I'm not very familiar with it yet. I would like to have little help with horn options an some other opinions what should I try. Is it possible to put that driver in some kind of almost reasonable sized horn? With vented option I have been thinking 350 litre box tuned to 25hz. Here is datasheet for the drivers http://www.eighteensound.com/Portals/0/PDFs/18LW2400.PDF

Hmm, a quick TH sim netted 233 L and 3 kW practical power limit and 233 L BR limited to 1 kW.

Thanks GM, what if I want little bit lower frequency response? I would like to have about 25-120hz response and size is not really an issue. I have also minidsp for sub so I can correct the response with that.

So going from 35hz to 25hz low end triples the enclosure size. Reaching 25hz would be more suitable with vented box. It would have been possible to build something like 400 L tapped horn but maybe I will go with big vented box.

It has to be so big due to its high Vas combined with you wanting > 2 octaves out of it. If you can accept a ~80-90 Hz upper limit, then I can shrink it to ~340 L net, still @ 500 W peak.

The downside is that the easier to build 340 L BR matches it at 500 W down low and of course allows a much higher XO point, but the vent needs to be quite large [adds 30+ L], so converting it to a a high aspect ratio MLTL seems the best overall choice.

I have to try lower crossover point with my current set. I have 12" coaxial main speakers but I have noticed that I get more punchier midbass out of my subwoofers. I'm going to try little bit eq for my mains in midbass section and lower crossover if I could run sub under 80hz only.
I want to try something different and thats why I'm trying vented or horn system.

I have been running my two 18LW2400 in 120L sealed boxes now 3 years. I got my hands on second pair of these drivers and now I got 4 of them. Again I am with the same question that what kind of enclosure to build. I have also moved and now space or neighbours is not an issue so should I try huge vented boxes, some kind of isobaric setup or something else? Isobaric horn?

I think this driver is able to show some bottom end, but there are limitations.

Here is a quick comparison to show the extra bottom.
4th order BP is not working.
400 L Vented box reaches to 20 Hz and a 6th order BP too even smoother.

I limited the power to only 250 W because of the cone excursion. With that it still delivers 115 dB. Still a lot IMO, for sure if you have 4 of them, but definitely less power than your closed boxes can handle.
If you are OK with that, you can look further to a TL for example to make it smoother.

Yeas vented or 6th order bp should give fair amount of sound compared to current sealed boxes. With isobaric setup I could make boxes even a bit smaller or then I can just make 4 huge boxes and knock my walls down. Have to do some measuring inside.
Amplifier for all is crown xls 2002 so that should be fine.
