My image seems to be dimming.
I dont know what is going on. It could be my bulb, or somthing else.
What could be causing a dimming effect of my image over the hours that I have been using my projector. If the LCD is being damaged, would this cause a dimming effect, or could it just be that my bulb is slowly dying.
Also right now I have a 60mm condensor with a fl of 100mm. This condensor is terrible for brightness. Anybody know where to get bright condensors?

hi nottaclu ( nomen est omen?) 😉
i suppose your image is dimming while your lcd' gettin hot. then it will not let pass so much light as when you've started.
www.anchoroptics.com has a huge line of condenser lenses.
greetz.

-it dosnt lose brightness durring watching. It is just not as bright as it was when first built. I have about 400 hours on the one bulb.

Check your projection lens too. I got one that had a thin black plastic iris in the center, it started to melt during testing. It didn't ooze or run, it just warped into the shape of the front fresnel (i.e.: the iris was no longer a circle but a warped square) this left a haze on the inner lenses. I would check that too. If you are not getting enough IR out of your light path this could be one of the problems. (think about your LCD as well)
