New Beyma NMF Series

Would you cross the 10” at 600-800hz based on the thd measurements at audioxpress?

Or 200hz is more like the absolute limit for this one?

<< 600Hz LR4 or <300Hz LR2. As this is 2nd order distortion I assume there is a cone resonance at 700-800Hz, so I would stay well below that to keep it above the passband, You can see it also in the datasheet FR. Smaller THD peak at 300Hz indicates cone tumbling, but it has double spider; so I assume it could be a resonance between the voicecoil mass, the cone mass and the vc former between acting as spring, would be also typical issue. Or a spider resonance....

At first I would do the measurements myself. I'm sorry but audioexpress measurements are often ... strange.

If you aim for top notch performance the THD peak at 300Hz is suspicious. It's H2 and H3, so there seems to be some (little?) problem with the driver at that frequency and not a higher frequency resonance/problem you just see in the THD.
It's an expensive driver ... I would look elsewhere for broadband use.
