Shipping cost
Excusez-moi,
How much is the shipping cost to Indonesia (SoutEast Asia)?
I'm very interested to buy also.
I have tried to search for the shipping cost in the first alephX group buy, but didn't find any luck.
Thanks,

This seem to be a big hit, 454 boards so far. I would not want to front this.
Remember Just a quick reminder: The only way to sign up to buy boards is on the wiki page!

Normally I use USPS Global Priority Mail (GPM) flat-rate envelopes for mailing small quantities of boards overseas. The service is fast and very affordable (cheaper than parcel post). According to my records, I sent an order of 6 boards to Indonesia last time in a GPM flat-rate. Unfortunately, it looks like GPM service to Indonesia is no longer available. 🙁
Please have a look at the USPS website to see their current rate info: http://pe.usps.gov/text/Imm/immicl/immiclhk_007.html
This website has more details about GPM: http://pe.usps.gov/text/Imm/immc2_014.html
Anyone else ordering from overseas should also have a look at that page to see if their country has GPM service. If not, then small orders can be sent as Airmail Letter in padded envelopes like I use for US domestic shipping. Cost for this is usually affordable... please see the rate tables for your country or do a package calculation online at the USPS website. Weight information is probably still there in the old order thread. When I have a chance, I'll dig through the old stuff and see what other useful info I can post regarding shipping costs and payments.

Well, since we are in the group order mood. Anyone interested in getting the Aleph-P, too? Just found this site in Taiwan selling Aleph-P. The deal looks decent. You get two PCBs, parts, and matched fets:
http://www.diyzone.net/article.php?sid=395
Ordering from that site can be a bit tricky though.

Chad,
Jim is right. That's alot of money to front. If you know how much the boards will cost, I would not mind sending the money for my order early if it will help.

Mark me down for 2 Aleph X PCB's from the group buy. I'd also like 2 powersupply if they are available.
Thank you!

DW8083,
I think you need to put your name in the wiki and I don't think they are offering power supply boards.

Okay then,
Count me in for 4 PCBs!
I have already add my name to Wiki.
I realy appreciate this group effort.

What do they charge for those boards?
DIYZONE has done some really nice work there, and the pictures
are beautiful (preamp porn?)
for some reason though, i feel a little uneasy about what they're
doing... maybe it's because i can't read the site for the whole
story. Selling full kits of Pass Labs product... i don't know.

Moi aussi!
Apparently, Mr Pass' products are VERY popular in Korea.
Try surfing these 2 sites, and compare....

That is a low price, I guess.
How is the quality of the chosen components?
Did anyone order from them yet?
Lucas
The price seems too reasonable to me for them to be making hardly any profit at all...even in Taiwan. I wonder how Nelson feels about these guys offering it this way.
As for the Korean site it is very tacky taking basically the same name.

Manufacturing
Chad,
You must feel you are a product manufacturer by now. Have you selected a PCB vendor yet? In addition, what can the group do to make this easer on your.
Maybe everyone should they fill out there own shipping label and send it to you or however doing the shipping.

Ok, about the Aleph-P deal on the Taiwanese site.
It is a group order thing already. Unfortunately they had just stopped accepted orders yesterday. I am not sure when they will do it again.
It seems that the site did not plan to make much money out of this project. This may explain its low price tag.
The PCB is basically a modified version of this Korean design:
http://www.diymania.net/pass/project/aleph-pre.htm
The package comes with 7 pairs of matched fets, Dale RN60D resistors, Rifa/Rifa MMK capacitors, and one T68 O trans.
They will also release a balance VR for it before the end of this year.
I did order one from them. This is the first time I buy things from them. A bit risky but will see how things go. Sure, those nice goodies posted on the Korean site are the ones I really want. Anybody knows a way to get them from Korea?

I tryed last August to get those boards. After two weeks the guy than runs the web site emailed me. He said that they sold all the boards. I gave up trying to commuincate with them. So good luck getting anything from them.

Re: Taiwanese Aleph-P deal
Hi JIm
Thank you for the info. Looks like I will have to give up that route then. 🙁
