Hey guys, does anyone know what MOSFETs I can use to replace the ones on sound output side of amp. They are stamped B2, with nothing else. Like a dummy, didn't realize amp was still powered up and positive speaker output got shorted to amp chassis. These are the only thing I can find shorted out. Any help would be appreciated. Amp is a Nemesis FR-NA1500D
I cannot remember what the rail voltage is for this amp but you could try the following:
fdp045n10a
fdp075n15a
ipp030n10n5aksa1
fdp045n10a
fdp075n15a
ipp030n10n5aksa1
If one of them isn't correct will it damage anything if I try it? I'll take it back apart and take some pics
Here are the pics, the only thing I can find wrong is the "B2" transistors are shorted. Just need to know what to replace them with plz
RE post #4:
The risk is mainly for reliability. The deadtime and idle current through the outputs could be an issue. You would need to try the suggested FETs to know if DT problems are an issue. There are also possible problems with drivers. FETs that are harder to drive than the originals (whatever they are) could be too much for the output drivers.
VERY thorough, long term testing (hours, minimum at high power) is required to know if there are any problems with the substitute parts if the original part is unknown.
