hope this is the right plalce to post this, if not let me know... I am getting a negative picture on my lcd(a verg(ie psone) lcd! it was fine before I took it apart
any ideas? its really bizarre looking...picture appears fine just colors reversed...

What have you done to the panel? If you connected it up using RGB, make sure you got the connections right. I've seen a few people get the colorts swapped around (while it isn't truly inverted, it certainly looks wrong). Good luck troubleshooting.

stripped the panel which was running fine, same connections I'm using now, composite in.... its really weird looking, like watching a negative of a movie(most people are blue...) ..no soldering done or anything, no visible cracks or anything on board..... using input from a vcr and the only thing thats the right color is the blue screen that comes up when the vcr is first plugged in, thats still blue anyway as it should be....

You may have lost your red channel of your RGB signal.
It sounds silly, but make sure it's plugged in -all- the way. And try wiggling the cable near the plug a little bit (we don't want to damage it more) and see if it works better.
If pushing it in harder works, you'll be laughing. If it comes back from a little wiggling, the connection inside the cable may be loose, and you'll need to repair/replace the cable.
Just my 2c. 😀

thanks for the thought.... if thats hat happened it must be the FFC connection..if wiggling it doesn't work I may do the VGA mod since that might fix the problem(but on second thought maybe not)......but if it is the red connection, that would explain why the vcr menu screen I'm using to test is still nice and blue(the correct color)...didn't occur to me that just one of the color channels might have a bad connection since I'm using composite input.... bet I messed up the ffc...sigh... oh well, it was only 9$ on ebay, better than a couple hindred for a full size lcd!
