Hi,
I'm very fortunate that this manual is extremely hard to get.😱
I went to a local hole in the wall stereo shop looking for cheap 'stuff with issues'. I saw this Luxman on a pile of stuff and asked the owner what the deal was. It's sad, he says, there's no sound and his tech couldn't find a service manual. If it worked it would be worth a grand but as is it's worth a hundred bucks in parts. I immediately offered him a hundred bucks and he accepted it expressing the hope I could get it working.
When I got it home I checked the disk of Luxman service manuals I bought on Ebay and no luck, so now I'm on the quest. Can anyone help?
Best Regards,
Mike

You're not going to find one, I think.
But we might be able to help out!
What have you done so far?

For a tech with basic experience around Japanese audio systems this should be something like 15 minutes to understand operation of the amplifier.
Still and eventhough the amplifier is very simple there is plenty of things that will take a lot of work to bring results
here is an example
--Most capacitors inside are to be replaced
--Expect bias and offset trimmers to be black underneath ( still look pretty sealed and good from above )
--Expect relays inside to be in the same condition
--Start with outputs first if blown this will increase the cost and you need to be ready for it ( the others are cheaper and easier )
--If memory is still active this is a DC coupled amplifier ( i may be wrong about this ) if so you need to isolate pre and main amp since any Dc offset orients form the pre will trigger the protection and you need to know where trigger comes from .
Finally the bigger problem for this amplifier is the front boards which is like a club sandwich in three levels and subsonic , tone , and loudness switches will be dirty in a level that cannot be cleaned with known methods ( example deoxit ) often i had to tear them apart for a real cleaning ...
Kind regards
Sakis

forgot :
there is a few things that YOU DON'T DO
---try to fire up while problems still exist
--And most importand : replacing parts is a wrong method of tracing the faults

Thanks for the input.
I've not done a thing with the amp because I have so many other projects active right now. When I do I will pick up this thread.
It's amazing there are no manuals anywhere.
