NEEDED - Pioneer SX-1250 5-step Bass potentiometer ACV-165 (50 Hz)

The shortcoming in those receivers is the preamplifier section.
Interested to know what exactly? You don't like the pre-amp, SRPP buffer?, jfet/bjt (2sk30/2sa726) composite gain stage?, tone amp (can be bypassed with switch)?, filter amp (can be bypassed with switch)?, phono pre-amp ( their std 3 bjt design)?
Pioneer did not use the pre-amp jfet/bjt composite gain stage in the 1980, always wonder why?, when the the design was used in many models.
I have never taken the 50Hz tone pot apart to determine if its just a regular pot with detents or its a switch with resistive elements, I'll ask if anyone else has.
I know the volume pot is a Alps stepped attenuator. I have one from a 1280, I guess they call it a black beauty.

:cop:
The Mod team has a rifle getting dusty. The ammo is about to expire. Who among you wants to be the one careless enough to trigger our itchy finger? Step right up, some of you are getting dangerously close. This is likely to start as a two week vacation or perhaps... well, let's not go there shall we?
