Need to pick a speaker-head's vibrating brain please!

hi guys i'm new here and i don't know what to do???? actually, i kind of have an idea, which may make it even worse - but anyway - i would like to build a studio monitor speaker. i have a Kenwood Power Transformer L07-3240-15 and most of a kenwood receiver to work with. i also have the speaker. i'm not concerned about the aesthetics or overall design, what i need help with is the circuit. Please, if you know of any good links or perhaps articles short of a home electronics course i would really appreciate the help. thank you

Unless you are sold a kit of parts with everything cut for you only to join together there is no way to become a high quality loudspeaker design engineer especially to monitor standards unless you are prepared to go to college/ university.

Why do people think building a loudspeaker cabinet & main driver and tweeter along with a self designed crossover is a "piece of cake " ---it isn't- resonances -reflections and a whole host of long winded university standard equations are required .

It would take more than a post or two to teach electronics, but where do you see your amplifier fitting in to this speaker?
hi AllenB, thanks for responding.

i guess i basically want to build a little add-on that would turn a regular speaker into a monitor speaker. i know that i have the parts and i know that the key component is that big flyback (i think) that i recovered from the kenwood receiver. i want to keep it as simple as possible (obviously). for an idea of my experience level i recently completed a distortion filter for my strat. its sounds gnarly.

why do you think it is sooooo difficult? c'mon man, i'm here because i feel this is the place where the experts chill. i think an expert would have no trouble at least helping me get started. or is there a section in electronic engineering theory i must first complete to separate myself (us?) from the mere mortals who point, click and drool?

so all those without the proper educational credentials should just give up and go away....

may they should change the participation requirements to the site or at least add "only if your accredited" to the tag line "projects by fanatics, for fanatics!"

You want help with the circuit, which circuit is this? It sounds as though you want to use your transformer to build an amplifier to run your speakers? (By the way it doesn't sound like a flyback transformer)

ok, well this is what i've got Redirect Notice

would it be possible if you could just point me to a very basic piece of literature or media that explains the bare minimum you would need to amplify the frequency coming out of an aux or 1/4" cable so it would vaporize your skull when ported to a speaker please?

well as a thought exercise, what's the likelihood of building an amp from a salvage chassis to power a homebrew loudspeaker that worthy of qualifying as a studio monitor....?

that's where Duncan2's reasoning needs to be acknowledged....it's a daunting task but not impossible even for the unwashed masses.
