I picked up a used Technics SL-D2 with a AT1100E cartridge. It sounds pretty nice so far, but I have no other turntable to compare it to. Some LPs sound better than the digital FLAC rips I have of the same album.
The stock rca cables that come with the Technics SL-D2 seem pretty cheap, perhaps even the ground cable.
Would it improve the sound much if I replaced these 3 wires with better cable and connectors? Also, the rca connectors aren't gold plated.
