need remedy for driver's broken connector

I've been fooling around with some very good sounding OB designs and in the process of disconnecting cable from a very expensive Euro driver, the flimsy connecting tab broke sheer off. What is the best method to reconnect? I assume soldering onto what's left. Is there a best type of cable for this?

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

Contact scan-speak and see if they can send you replacement tags. They just slide on.

If you try and solder to what is left you run the risk of solder wicking up the braiding and making it too stiff. In fact even a replacement of the tags you would have to be very careful.

I do find it annoying that a lot of expensive drivers still have rubbish and flimsy connections.

Thanks richie00boy. That's exactly the kind of info I was curious about. This is a pricey piece that I've had for 9 years and sounds great. Too bad about the weak spot, but I don't want to cause more trouble. I'll contact Scan-Speak.
