Download Unibox (needs Excel) or WinISD (standalone) and get simulating. If you specify which Peerless XLS and which PR you have then we can sim them too and give advice.
Once you have the tuning and enclosure volume designed via simulation, the rest is simply making a box of that internal volume which isn't hard, just some simple geometry.
Also head off the Home Theatre Shack where there is an archived section for sub testing, including some Peerless designs as well as a DIY section. HTG and AVS also have active DIY sections with lots of sub builds going on and experience designing and building them.
