Need motor tear-down help

My Pioneer Pl-41 motor makes a fast ticking noise when warmed up. Possible armature adhesive failure. I can't figure out how to get housing apart. First pic is where I am, second is where I want to be.

Got housing off--a few gentle taps was all it needed.

The quote below is from another forum. I'm going to try this.

after a few attempts it hit me, the armature itself was the culprit. the main body is aluminum with a steel sleeve press fit or glued onto it. i'm venturing to guess that because of the age of the machine, any factory applied glue would be pretty well deteriorated and it would allow the steel sleeve to expand and become loose on the aluminum body causing a rattle.

i fixed both of my tt's by placing the armatures in a 200 degree oven to heat them to the point of loosening and then applying loctite red around the top and bottom perimeter where the sleeve meets the body. wipe away any excess and allow it to set up for a few hours before use and you should be back to silent running.
