I'm new in this game and I'd appreciate tips on where I can find circuit diagrams to build a complete sound amplifier for home use, i.e. playing conventional music CDs.
I would prefer to build something of reasonably good sound quality, and to match my pair of Jamo model E680 speakers (120W/170W long term/short term power rated).
Any advice or references will be appreciated.

I agree with posts 3 & 4. Do more research before spending big money on your ultimate project.
Start small and simple. Learn from that, gradually building up experience on designing, reading datasheets, reading schematics, layout, safety, soldering, assembly etc.
I have been researching analogue Electronics for 43years and I am still learning.
