I have a Nview ViewFrame Spectra C (1993). It has four connectors: 12VDC Power, Optional Monitor (VGA), Digital Input (DB-9), Analog Input (DB-15). (The video connectors are on the right side of the interface panel.) It appears to work when I connect power, however, I have no video cables and I don't know the pinouts. Can anyoun help?
Thanks,
Ceti

Pinouts
After spending more time doing different variations on searches for information, I've come across a thread that appears to contain some usefull information (Panel Paranoia! VGA cable -» need help). It appears that "Fender4" posted some pinouts for my model panel. I still have yet to find pinouts for the "Digital Input" connector though. Maybe I don't really need it. However, I would like to find information on how to go from a S-video connector to standard VGA (DB15HD) connector.
Still Looking......

To go from Svideo to VGA, ull need a scaler. I use my pc to do scaling. There are other ways, like getting those video to vga boxes, but I have no experience with those.
I use a PC with DScaler Software (its free!!!) and an MSI TV @nywhere TV Tuner. DScaler is the key in all this. It gives amazing images, comparable to the scalers in the new HDTVs if not better. On my card I get 754x480 (iknow, it shud be 720, but it supports 754 so y not use it😀 ) and I get full 60fps from the signal. It looks nice, like progressive scan. Sure there are artifacts from analogue signal, but it looks nice. It has useful filters, like temporal smoother, that removes the minor noise or film grain well. There are more powerful filters for this, but when you use them on a good signal, they just blurry up the image.
DScaler is one amazing Scaler... But needs an ok pc to run.
I run it on a 2.66ghz celly / 512ddr ram/ Radeon 9000Pro (for sale) / Audigy (soon to be sold) / and a MSi TV Tuner( for sale too)
U would probably need about a 1 Gigahertz to run well, 128 ram, ATi video card for best display quality (dont start a Ati vs Nvidia cuz of this😀 ) and a decent tv capture card. If you have a decent enough computer, I suggest use it as a scaler.

I am currently selling what I believe to be exactly the same kit on ebay. It has all the cables etc but no instructions so I couldn't make it work. If it doesn't go, Ill send you the cables to copy.

Thanks for your responses.
I still have a little work to do to see if my Spectra C still works. It does come up with the logo when I power it on and the remote does seem to work. I am still going through my parts boxes looking for connectors.
I was hoping to make a big screen TV. I have an overhead projector I picked up for twenty bucks and somewhere I have a video converter to go from VGA to NTSC I got at a yard sale. I just don't know if it will go the other way (still haven't found it yet). "ancorp" recommended DScaler software that runs on a fast pc. With a pc TV tuner, it sounds like this would work pretty well - its worth looking into. However, I was hoping to be able to plug my LCD panel into my VCR so I could watch some of my old VHS recorded moves.
Thanks Chris, I would be interested in taking you up on your offer to copy your cables... if your unit doesn't go.
