I just picked up a pair of fe168sigma not the new e sigma.
The amp that will be driving this has an output impedience of
~8 ohms. So the Qts of this driver using this amp will be about
.7 other than an open baffel what enclosures would work well.
Of paticular interest would be a knock down cab kit like the fostex
BK16 offered by Madisound. While I am talking about this driver
is there an easy way to calculate the value of resister capacitor and inductor necessary to flatten the impedience at resonance.
thanks
Woody

www.zillaspeak.com/bib.asp would be worth using if you have rear walls, or better, corners. The Nagaoka D-37 would likely be worth checking out too, and there's a new double horn coming soon that I'm working out with Dave (planet10) that should do well with the old 168Sigma.
Bob also has an early MLTL design for this driver: http://www.geocities.com/rbrines1/Pages/Proposals.html scroll down toward the end of the page.
http://www.quarter-wave.com/General/General_Articles.html there's a few different BSC-related things here; an excel file too for calculating circuit values.

I can confirm the 168 works in both the Bob Brines cab (actually his FT1600 II cab which is pretty much identical) and the BIB cab.
I had them running in the FT1600 to run in - clean dynamic with good bass extension. Completed the BIBs yesterday and the 168s are transformed, incredible bass extension, big sound - yet to do any extensive listening but I would thoroughly reccomend the BIB cab for these excelent drivers.
Cheers,
Chris
