I want to know if you can hook a sub up, on the pioneer DEH-P5500MP, if so how do you go about doing it

ok, so you want to know if you can hook a sub up straight to that head unit? is that what you mean? without any amp?
simple answer to your question is no...... Not enough power to back it and the amp within the deck def. could not support it.
You'll need a sub, a box for the sub, an external amp, RCAs to go from the head unit to the external amp, a remote wire (goes from the head unit to the amp to say "hey, i'm on!"), power cable from the battery to the amp, fuses and the connectors to attach the power cable to the battery, a ground cable from the amp to the car chassis, and speaker wire from the amp to the sub.
