Need help with simple Active preamp.

Hi, this is my 1st post here 😀 Hope I'm posting in the correct section, and hope I'm not repeating the topic.

My system config is Dynaudio BM6 passives, powered by a McCormack DNA 125, running off my EMU 0404 soundcard. I got an Alps pot as volume control.

My problem is that the speakers are not opening up, and there is a shortage of bass. I've tried out a variety of solutions, and I think the problem is that soundcard might not be driving the amp properly. So, I've decided to try out with an active preamp.

A little googling revealed that the opa627 is a very good opamp to use, but its out of my budget. The opa134 is very affordable, but I'm not sure if it'll work in my case. The 627 has an output of 12V and 45mA, while the 134 is just 2.2V at 35mA.

Then I found that national gives samples of their lm4562, so I've ordered those. So now I need a simple design to build a preamp. Hope you guys can help me out here.
