Need help with Hafler DH-500...I'm a newb.

Just to clarify, I am new to this! LOL I don't get some of the lingo that goes along with DIY electrical stuff.

What do I set my meter to, to measure resistance?

Should I re-connect the signal ground wire at the left RCA while I'm at it since that didn't help at all?

The meter probably says OHM or has the uppercase Greek letter Omega around a groug of ranges. Use the lowest range.

Go ahead and reconnect the lead.

I just won an auction for a DH-500 and was reading this thread with great interest. I'm guessing the OP gave up on the Hafler.

Yeah, I gave up on it and ended up trading it to a skilled tech for a heavily modified Magnavox 175 console tube amp. I'm pretty sure he figured out the issue, but I never followed up on it.
