Need help with EMF(???) interference

I have just finish building my projector (been waiting for this moment), but when I flip the switch on, I can't get a clear picture from the LCD :bawling:
After taking the LCD out of the box, the picture starts showing again, I then realized it might be the ballast that is interfering it.
Does anyone has this kinda experenience? I wonder what I can do without modifying the box too much. I am using LL's lamp with their electronic ballast. I've left out a lot of details in the bmp, but this is how it is setup: light goes from left to right (obviously), and the lamp has its own enclosure, with the PCB of LCD sitting under it, all the wires goes between the LCD and PCB. The ballast is mounted vertically isolated from the lamp (with wood), but not from the LCD.

Is it the LCD, the wires between LCD and PCB or the PCB board that is being interfered?

Absolutely what your describing is interference. My 2nd LCD had this problem - bare wires instead of grounded cable. Course I didn't realize it until I broke my LCD thinking it was the ffc.

Try building a metal shield around the ballast and ballast wires. Couple bucks of material and you should be fine, although heat may be an issue.
