Need help understanding something about UL stages

James Morgan book, page 389, thats the only place in the entire book where there is a reference to the Ultra-Linear output stage.
It is said that Ia is proportional to 1.5 power of Vg2. And quote - "And as a consequence, negative feedback at g2 is not as linear a process as one might wish".

Could someone please explain this to me in little more detail. What undesirable effect would this really have in a push-pull UL stage ?
