I don’t know why but for some reason I don’t like the Hammond brand. Must be because of prior conversation with some of the people working there… The company was two doors away from mine many years ago, and the staff was very rude… it’s far from a testament of product quality but a bad taste left in my mouth I guess.

Yeah SAC seems pretty good but I don’t know how to contact them. Got not answers from them, almost as if they’re out of business. They have old links to different resellers but only one works and the products cannot be found, also some of their links on their website don’t work anymore, almost as if the website was left dying.

FYI, I think Hammond has improved the performance of their SE transformers. The new SEA models offer better HF performance.
My 5K SE OPTs are made by Ogonowski in Poland. Very good quality and very good prices. If I wanted any further OPTs I'd go straight to him. I'm very happy with mine.

Thanks Anand. My Ogonowski OPTs are the LO-25 type. Very nice construction. Detailed sound with lovely tonality.
Have you looked at Heyboer in Michigan? I've used a few of their custom power transformers and like them. I do not know anything regarding their output stuff. Call them, they are hard to reach via email.

I don't think so. Standard CC-core LO25 cost 199 USD. It is not likely that a custom wound transformer would be cheaper than a stock product.
