Hi
I've been reading on this forum for months after i got an interest in DIY projectors.
Yesterday I bought the projectors above at our university's old audio visual equipment sale.

they are claimed to be working but lamps are gone. emp-7100's bulb is broken. the guy was saying lamp is working but there is no lamp alignment??

Anyway

I read on some threads that change of the lamp with an equivalent is done by many enthusiasts.
What I am asking is if i can find a bulb with same specifications, will i be able to use it without having to change anything else? (I assume i'll wire the bulb and mount it in the reflector)

and also where can i find this bulb? 😀

The number on the reflector of emp-7100 reads HS150AR15-1 and UHE-B. Replacement unit is ELPLP04. this info brings around 200 sites on google mainly Chinese sites which the lamp may be sourced from. lamp is 79*79 mm.

Also on the projector it reads "change the lamp with a same specification one which is 150W and 60V"

It seems like the lamp is also used in Epson 5100, epson powerlite 5000xb and 7000xb, Infocus LP720-735 and ASK A6+.

I am not sure which one i should invest to because i couldn't find much info for NEC one though nec looks brand new and is better lumen wise. it uses a 150W nsh lamp.

Also which one do you guys think i should invest to, epson or nec? specification and quality wise.
I am in Melbourne, Oz btw

Any ideas or info is much appreciated 😀

Thank you very much
