I recently scored a pair of custom 18" BR cabs with the following internal dimensions:
32" H x 24 1/2" W x 17" D
2 x Ports: 6" diameter by 9" deep
Need to find drivers that will work properly with these cabs. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Theo

www.mcmelectronics.com has a low-price driver. I used it to replace a JBL 2245H driver; the foam surround of which fell apart. This one has a durable paper accordion surround. A picture of the (small) refrigerator-size cabinet fitting this subwoofer is attached. This website also sells a 21'' driver.

What's the make and model of this driver?
Thanks,

Please find the attached pdf which shows the selection of 18" drivers and their Thiele-Small parameters. I hope it is adequately legible.
The Order #s read from the top left to right and then bottom are: 55-2985, (21"), 55-2984 (18"), 55-2954 (18"), and 55-1875 (18"). Regards.
Not sure what your budget is but the Sigma Pro-18A-2 would fit those cabinets like a glove. The cabinets are 7.5 cu.ft. tuned to 39 hz, the drivers will handle 300 watts with a hi-pass filter at 35 hz.

Nobody says you have to install an 18 inch driver in the hole. Why do you want to be stuck looking for a suitable 18 inch driver when you have a vast choice of drivers doing the same thing (and prolly better) at 15 inches?
A box that size sure makes a good sealed enclosure!
Go for quality.

Theo,
What is the budget you are looking to stay in?
That box size and tuning should work with a lot of 18" drivers out there. The ones you choose really depend on what performance level and price point you are looking for. I am particularly fond of RCF and B&C brand drivers, but they aren't all that cheap.

You can get a nice, re-coned JBL 2245 for around $200. I just received one and it looks/sounds great.

I was looking to spend around $200 per driver.
