I'm going to wish you good luck. Just let me mention that things are learned by bringing a design into full production and prehaps more important by having it "road tested". There are schematics out there for Marshall and other solid state amps which I think are better choices than a kit design. You speak as if you want the best tone possible, do you really expect to get it from a solid state amp? I have nothing against SS in general however pros nearly universally demand tubes when they're looking for overdriven distortion.
The Gibson SS amp would make a nice simple project, seems you do need to think about it more.
