Need help building mastering speakers

I officially just heard exactly what I want but they are fare out of budget at the moment, they’d be a chrismas present to myself if I did actually buy them

Hell I’m willing to pay some to remake them lol

Absolutely brilliant!!

I'd be interested to see the actual distortion specs on this. The amp looks suspiciously like a QSC or Labgruppen. Id want better amplification choices, not the usual "pro" amp with built in DSP of questionable origins that won't do low level dynamics well.

What are the special requirement on a "mastering" speaker?

//
nothing truly special. im debating if i want the speaker rather linear or not.
i wrapped up a session around 11pm. i check the mix on my usual consumer type monitoring systems and decide to take the core59's in the mastering room just to mess with the song but the product i have an hour after the session is mindboggling...

however in room, playback is extremely analytical imo rather than musical using the core59s. mind you they are barely loud enough for what id really want. get down to 40hz cleanly but require a large sub or 2 and $6200 for a pair.

can they work for my needs, absolutely and knowing the sound signature i can turn out a great sound but i think they'll be the analytical monitors in the room and since my father decided to order parts already i guess we're going to give it a try. more on the lines of making something like the ocean way speakers. much larger than the expectation of something the size of the mm5x's these are going to get much louder with 4 12s, 4 dedicated mids and 2 cd's total
we're going to Nashville together next week to hear the ocean way h3.5fl's together, though i have the money on a credit card or 2 my father has multiple cards he could charge the full amount to and i just make the payments, so we may just make the purchase next week friday when we go to nashville to hear them in a mastering location

Sorry I didn’t update. After my Nashville trip, going to multiple locations and being able to not only mix but master in 3 different rooms, I ended up at vintage king in Nashville picking up a pair of Lipinski L707m’s, L401 amps and a studio pro 18inch sub.
Everything will be wired up by the end of the week and start with additional tuning of the room and decide if I want to integrate dsp or not. 1 room I worked in had dsp the other 2 didn’t but one had 40k worth of acoustic work.
My room was built and designed to be a mastering studio but I definitely don’t have 40k in just room acoustics
Personally I want just a bit more diffusion but I’ll have gik come back out and shoot the room with the speakers in place

I was trying to go overkill with the speakers and didn’t need to. Now one speaker that definitely impressed me were the 800 series B&k’s.. 801 d3 and d4 but even used they had an ugly price tag lol
All in all, came out around 12k and I’m sure I’ll make that back by within 2 months so you have to pay to play. I’ll be grabbing a pair off of l505’s for the mix room to go along with the dynaudio core59s and the eve 408’s are no longer in the facility, they’re now at my house for when I mix at home in my private home studio.

I have a friend that actually has his own monitor brand, a 4 way or 3way 1300 watt hex amp monitor right at 9k a pair… (sa25,

Those may be the only things that may dethrone the L707’s for me but we’ll see
