chickens talking....what ya smokin Gnobody....hehehehehe Joking of coarse. Yes our dog has all kinds of different tones of bark for different communication to us.
This is why we want to have our own elk sounds on our own cards. So that we can communicate with the elk our way. The one area we visit, now is riddled with wolves and i know the elk will shut down and call very little as they do not wish to make sounds so that the wolves can find them and kill them...its a cruel world out there in the wild as you know. Surprisingly the elk and moose still thrive and are so smart.., they keep evolving with every challenge that hits them. Very smart animals. We as wildlife managers have to evolve with them. If you have even seen a moose go through the windshield of a vehicle...it aint pretty.
its well known that females are much more intelligent than males of many species including humans. They have to raise young, all the males have to do is impregnate
There is an alarm call for elk..its called the calf in distress..when used, it will bring a whole herd of elk toward the caller...mule deer as well. Very social animals.
Elk are so smart that no matter how many hunters out there they keep growing in numbers...hiding by day...living their life at night...well off the fields to feed by morning light. Some elk hunters go a lifetime without getting one. I should have the pics tonight
