My city, Vadodara, (old name Baroda), area population more than 5 million.
From my house the electronics market is 3 kilometers, a little less than 2 miles, 10 minutes at most.
Three shops with a full selection of parts in small boxes, and the facility to obtain from out of town if needed. I can ask for 5 units 4007, and 2 pieces 1/4 watt resistors, if needed.
Several others have TV and audio related parts.
And some more have parts for industrial electronics.
At least 50 shops for cell phones, their parts, repair services, accessories and so on.
Trend is that repair shops for TV and audio are closing down.
VCR, CD, DVD parts next to impossible.
Cassette parts shop closed for ever.

That's cool... But do they sell stuff like TL783 or IXTP08N100D2 or is it just common older stuff?

Sent you this PM. Thanks for your kind offer. I think they are to big. The circuit board it needs to fit in has .200" center to center lead space and the holes are lead holes are .036" diameter. I think a snap in cap is to large.
