I am building three SPDI/F outputs in my Sony N975 DVD player. I found this transformer that seems to fit the bill, but I have no direct experience with the company that makes them. The company is C & D TECHNOLOGIES and the transformer part number is DA101M/R. Here is the link

How good is this device for SPDI/F application?
Thanks

1.) The link does not work.
2.) Has low leakage inductance, might be ok. Good return loss, but only spec'ed to 3 MHz. Other than that, I would have to have one to know for sure.
3.) No one has them in stock, so it is a moot point.
Try buying some of the ones Digi-key carries.

Jocko,
Thanks for the reply. I am sorry about the link, I think this one should work

Newark does have stock, here is the link

I think I will go ahead and get those transformers. THey are a lot cheaper by a factor of nearly 10, then the Newava line at Digi-key.
What do you think of Pomona BNC plugs like this one

Thanks, Joko.

You are trying to tell me that they are only $1 at Newark??? Nothing is inexpensive at Newark. They don't even give a price, and I doubt they are that cheap there.
Howcum they don't show up as being in stock anywhere on C&D's site?
Pomona makes decent parts. I get mine from Trompeter.

peranders said:1.67 dollar, is that possible?
Well gentlemen,
Yes, it is hard to believe, but they are only $1.67! In fact I found prices at Newark to be quite reasonable.
Anyway, since we are on the topic of transformers, - what do I do if I want to connect a 75 Ohm source from RCA jack to a 110 Ohm target on XLR jack? Do I simply get me a 75-110 Ohm transformer? Of yes, then which one? Or, should I built a circuit that will do the same thing with logic gates? I think the voltage level of the SPDI/F from my source is high enough for the 110 Ohm target.
Right now I am simply using a RCA to XLR cable with pins 1 and 3 connected together and hooked to the shield on the XLR side and it works, but I know it is not a right thing to do.
Thanks
