Hi,
I'm a newbie in the field. This is the first time I'm venturing from audio field to this one.
I've got a Few questions:
* Can any one tell me why fresnels are usedin an LCD Projector?
* Are they a must in a LCD Projector?
* Should they be used always in pairs?
* what are the specs for a Fresnel lens to be used in conjunction with a 7" LCD panel?
I have already posted this question on the Optics Forum, but seem to attact no replies.. 🙁

hi,
Yes u need to use two fresnel lens...I tried with single fresnel and failed.
They are just the page magnifier and it costs from 100-120/-.

fresnel lenses bend light.
one before LCD makes light parallel to pass through LCD.
once after LCD bends all light again to one point and
that point is your projection lense.
fresnel properties depend on your projection lense mostly.
