Hi, A'af,

The CS8420 doesn't support 192KHz sampling rate. If it's very necessary then you can use AD1896.

At 192K sampling rate, if you don't want to oversampling the signal then there'er so much DAC you can use. Such PCM1702, PCM63, PCM67, AD1862, TDA1541A, AD1853, CS43122 etc. If you want to do oversampling at 192K sampling rate then the DACs which is support 192KHz sampling rate would been the only choice. Such as AD1853, CS4397, CS43122, PCM1738 etc.

A'Af,

As my eminent colleagues pointed out, CS8420 doesn't accept 192kHz. If you still want to use a this sampling frequency, you can chain the CS8420 (up to 96 kHz) with the NPC SM5849, (96-> 192) The NPC chip doesn't handle directly 192 kHz (max conversion ratio is about 2.2) This 2-chip solution has been used in the italian "North Star Design 192" model DAC, which is highly praised here in Europe. AFAIK, the only ASRC capable of handling 44.1->192 conversion is the AD1896.

Concerning the DAC chips, I was told that AD was about to launch a new 192 DAC, AD1955. Arrival date should be around April 02. May be it's woth waiting...
