So, Aleph-X it will be! Got 8 extension boards (4 pcs per channel, for 3 FET-s each) but still in search for a pair of A-X rev.1 main boards. As I need 12 FET-s per channel (24 for two channels) my plan is to get at least 50 pcs of IRFP044N or IRFP150. What say you, which of those would be better choice?
If you're using 12 FETs, the IRFP150 is possibly the worst choice (high input capacitance). Where the IRFP150 shines is in the classic 2 pair build. Zen mod is right, use the 044N.
for normal Iq take 044
for higher Iq , use 150 - take it as 2 in one case
To make long story short - I've decided to build A-X monos. 12 output devices per amp (4x3), rail voltage up to 19-20V, normal Iq. Since I'm click away from TME order of 50 power FETs to measure and pair from (2x12pcs) I need one more advice. Since they have in stock IRFP044NPBF only would it be better to order IRFP140PBF (without N)? Or it does not matter?

They are different. The 044n is a smaller part with lower dissipation, voltage rating, etc.isn't N just lead free ?
if it is , irrelevant
it also has somewhat lower input cap which might be useful with parallel devices...

It seems that only difference between IRFPxxxPBF and IRFxxxNPBF (xxx being same numbers) is that one without N is made by Vishay and one with N is made by International Rectifier.

Origin
As a total aside, the origin of Mr Pass' quote seems to be here:

which is also about the Aleph-X. 🙂
Cheers,

No, as Zenmod mentioned, the "n" says that the product is lead free, and I believe that it should be of no concern either - unless you're planning mass production and sales of the amp, and even in that case, I think you'd have greater worries than exactly that...

To make very long story as short as possible I need one more advice to click BIN for 50 pcs. of following:
1. IRFP044NPBF from International Rectifier

or
2. IRFP140PBF from Vishay

I have always thought that PBF meant lead free. Pb is the chemical symbol for lead in the periodic table. Thus Pb (lead) F(ree) .
Or not.
I am assuming and we we all know what that means !

You are correct.
Not sure what the significance of N is in this regard (Not lead free?)

To answer original post, with your secondary voltages make it a balanced amp eg Balanced BA3, F5X, Aleph X etc.
I've allready decided to build A-X monos. Got everything I need except output MOSFETs and new toroidal xformers. My concerns about output devices (since there are 12 per channel/monoblock) are which of the mentioned would be best fit regarding input capacitance. My goal is +/-18-19V rail voltage and Iq 1A or bit more per MOSFET...
